Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Back End Developer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Romania. Our client is one of the leading multinational companies in the building materials industry, based in Germany. The company is a producer of building materials and construction systems comprising construction materials for drywall construction, plasterboard, cement boards, mineral fiber acoustic boards, dry mortars with gypsum for internal plaster and cement-based external plaster and insulating materials; glass wool, stone wool, and other insulation materials. They set the benchmark for gypsum-based products and systems, energy-efficient insulation materials, market development, and customer orientation. With 150 production facilities and sales organizations in over 86 countries, it is one of the big players in the market in Europe, the USA, South America, Asia, Africa, and Australia.

Business trips to Germany are expected (1 meeting per quarter maximum).

REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of experience as a Back End Developer.
• Knowledge of Node.js NestJS
• Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience working with Microsoft Azure.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js and NestJS.
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL database structures.
• Ensure security, performance, and scalability of backend systems.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate APIs.
• Participate in peer code reviews and testing.
• Communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals.
• Continuously stay informed about the latest industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure we are leveraging the most effective tools and practices.
