Join our vibrant and dynamic team within the Cloud Services & Infrastructure Unit at Bitdefender. Our mission is crucial: to engineer a cutting-edge platform that empowers all Bitdefender teams to deploy and scale an extensive range of microservices with ease and efficiency. We seek a seasoned Senior Software Engineer who brings a blend of leadership and hands-on expertise. You will lead by example, inspiring innovation and driving the development of high-impact features that support hundreds of projects across our organization.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of technologies, including but not limited to Node.js, Python, Prometheus, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes. We understand that no one is an expert in everything; thus, we are looking for candidates who have a strong foundation in one or several of these technologies and a willingness to learn and adapt to others. Knowledge in machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) is a plus, offering further avenues for innovation within our projects.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer or similar role, with a track record of developing and scaling software solutions.
- Experience with cloud platforms (any of AWS, GCP, Azure) and understanding how to leverage their capabilities to enhance project scalability and reliability.
- Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience in several technologies and scripting languages; expertise in specific technologies (e.g., Node.js/Python/Go, Kubernetes,MongoDB) is highly valued.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a creative and analytical approach to overcoming challenges.
- A commitment to continuous learning, staying up-to-date with industry trends and technologies.
- Familiarity with ML/AI infrastructures is considered a nice to have, but not required.
- Experience with CI/CD technologies is also a nice to have but not required.
